When we think back over the many different services we have provided over the years the list tends to become a bit self-serving - quite long and potentially meaningless. Suffice to say, that we have often been called in by clients to help them solve a problem, sometimes even when they couldn't really define what the problem actually was. We love a challenge and, together with our clients, we think we have come up with a few innovative solutions from time to time. We are very big on keeping things simple. Solving problems involves initially focusing only on the key elements - the base level pieces - the primary drivers. An example of our philosophy at work is that in a recent business planning project, the CEO said that they had achieved more in six months than he normally would have expected in two years. He was also very happy that the primary business planning documents were a couple of single sheets of paper, and not a thick volume. You see our view is that if you can't say what the key elements are in a couple of sentences, you're not sufficiently clear on them. There have been times when we declined a project because we didn't believe we could make it work, for whatever reason. The long and the short of it is that we won't promise you something that we don't think we can deliver on. Keeping our promises is very important to us. If you have a tricky problem, and you're not sure how to tackle it, we would be happy to discuss it with you and establish whether we can be of assistance. Of course there is no obligation to you in any way. And sometimes, you just know something isn't quite right, but maybe you're not sure exactly what. We're also happy to be a sounding board, to help you identify exactly what it is that's bothering you. |
